Join us for a book-tastic gathering of readers at our September Book Swap and Cocktail Party!

We’re hosting the event in the first-floor event room of The Star Inn, Alfriston, from 6:30pm on Friday, 5 December.

Bring along a book you’ll offer up to trade – one you loved, or maybe one you loath but hope someone else will enjoy. Hardback and paperback books are welcome; fiction or cookery or history or poetry - whatever you want to share.

By the end of the evening you’ll be able to take home a book from someone else.

For this pre-Christmas festive Book Swap we’ll be giving out a seasonal gift.

Maybe you’ll enjoy something delicious to sip, thanks to the bar at The Star (we hear their Yuletide cocktails are quite impressive!).

And of course you’ll savour bookish chat with other like-minded book lovers. The Star offers a range of wines, cocktails and non-alcoholic ‘mocktails’ which you will be able to purchase at the bar. You could think about reserving a table for supper after the event.
